EFT
More and more I am amazed by EFT - Emotional Freedom Techniques. EFT is tapping with one's fingertips on certain meridian points in the body while tuning into a problem. The theory is that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. EFT is believed to work by balancing out the disruption. I have found it to be especially useful for working with clients who are unable to sustain a useable hypnotic trance due to prescribed medications for depression. Also, I find that it opens up dialogue between the client and therapist or coach especially when dealing with trauma.
With hypnotherapy we work with the distressing memory, in EFT we work with the disruption in the body's energy system caused by the memory.
